When shopping for perfumes, it is important that one should be aware of the fact that although perfumes of the same brand and scent are made with the same ingredients and underwent the same process, one’s body chemistry can still affect how the perfume would smell like. Thus, a woman should keep in mind that a perfume smells different while inside the bottle, would smell different on the test strip and would certainly smell different on her skin. This is because paper strips do not react to the perfume the same way your skin would. Since every person is unique and would therefore have unique body chemistry, a perfume would smell different on different people. This explains why a perfume that smells good on your mother does not have the same scent on you.

Thus, when shopping for women’s perfume, it is advisable to put a small amount of the perfume on your wrist, wait for a couple of minutes to allow your skin to react on it, and then smell it.
