Women and Engagements
Engagement rings of known personalities such as Hollywood celebrities often make the news and their engagement is often the subject of people’s conversations, especially their fans’. It is not rare that show business news and even articles talk about known actresses’ Engagement Rings, especially how much the rings cost. This is because people usually associate the cost of the engagement ring to the wealth or financial stability of the groom-to-be.
For an average woman, an engagement is something equally important and special, even though the news of her engagement doesn’t hit the morning news. Being engaged to the man she loves is more important than the ring, of course, even though many women appreciate being given an engagement ring of high quality and value. Breaking the news of her engagement to her family and friends is as equally exciting as celebrity women would announce to their fans their plans of settling down.
Women in general, celebrity or not, take marriage seriously. Thus, getting engaged is something that they do not decide on out of impulsiveness. However, there are still some women whose decision is swayed by the hype of the moment, overwhelmed by the circumstance that a man wants her to be his wife. And such impulsive decisions in getting married often lead to unhappy marriage.
Picking the Right Dress for Special Occasions
Graduation ceremonies, romantic candlelit dinner, promenade ball, parties and gatherings have one thing in common; they are all events that require a particular dress code. It is not only a shame to go to a formal family reunion clad in sweat shirt and jeans; it is also rude as it is an indication that you did not honor the host of the gathering as well as the other guests who made the effort to dress well and prepare for the occasion.
It is good for a woman to have at least one dress she can wear for formal occasions if she doesn’t usually attend gatherings. Yet, for a woman who usually attends parties and gatherings, having just one dress to wear on all those events would not be enough. Of course, for your graduation ceremony, you wouldn’t want to wear the dress everybody had seen you wearing last week during the school dance. As every gathering is different from the other, so should be the kind of dress one should wear for the occasion. A prom night is different from a graduation ceremony, although they are both considered formal events. No lady would want to wear a ball gown on her graduation; otherwise she’ll be the talk of the town, and not in a good way. Thus, it is essential that one should know how to pick the right dress depending on the kind of event she is going to attend to.
As wedding and receptions do not really have a strict general dress code, what you should consider is the motif of the event. Romantic dates on the other hand call for feminine colors. Afternoon parties which are held in a garden call for a dress, may it be plain or printed, with the hemline falling just a little below the knee.
